The AppsAnywhere server is provided as a virtual appliance, so it will be up to you to import this into your environment to create a new server. Once that is done, the Software2 team will take over and get everything configured.

If you need to add additional AppsAnywhere servers to your environment, you can import the virtual appliance multiple times.

Importing the Virtual Appliance

The current appliance is available to download from Latest Releases within the Software2 support portal.

Two formats are available; OVA format for VMware vSphere hypervisors and VDMK disk format for Hyper-V hypervisors.

We presume you (or your server admins) will be familiar with importing a virtual appliance into your environment, but if you need any guidance there's an article to quickly walk you through the process for each of these hypervisors:

A Microsoft Azure image is also able available by request to Software2 Support.

First-time Configuration

Once your appliance is up and running, there are a few additional first-time configuration steps which you will need to complete, via the built-in Appliance Configuration Console. These include the network configuration of the appliance and enabling SSH access.
